Superior Braided-Wire Technology Management
48 wires, that form a dense mesh across the aneurysm neck The sliding cells of BALT's propierty Braided-wire technology ensure high vessel conformability SILK + employs high density scaffholding enabling effective occlusion accross the neck of the aneurysm
Proximal Stainless Steel: for torque, support and pushability Distal Nitinol for EXTREME suppleness and navigability and no deformation of shape Easily Shapeable distal tip
A PLUS FOR NAVIGATING TORTUOUS VASCULAR ANATOMY: FINE BRAIDED WIRES
The SELF-EXPANDAPLE LEO+ intracranial stent was designed for wide-neck aneurysm treatment. Its BRAIDED design allows the fine nitinol wires to slide smoothly onto each other to adapt to the vessel anatomy. No protrusion in the aneurysm sac or kinking in the acute curves, typical of laser cut stents, but PERFECT WALL APPOSITION and COILS SUPPORT.
FLOW-DIRECTED BRAIDED MICROCATHETER
The Magic, known since 1987, is still regarded as the best flow-directed catheter, but it is made of polymers which don't resist DMSO-based embolisation products. BALT SONIC keeps the qualities of the Magic catheter with a high resistance to pressure and a full DMSO compatibility. What is more, the SONIC is equipped with the patented system " Fusecath " which allows its distal part to come away when stuck in the embolization product.
The New Liquid Embolic device
Non adhesive liquid embolic agent for embolisation of brain Arteriovenous Malformations (AVM). SQUID is a Copolymer of EVOH (ethylene vinyl alcohol) dissolved in a DMSO solution with suspended micronized Tantalum powder for radiopacity. SQUID must be injected through a COMPATIBLE microcatheter.
